Birth Registration

Articles 22, 23, 24, 25, and 27 of Law No. 3 of 1957 dated August 1, 1957

Birth declaration within 10 days after delivery
After this legal deadline: judicial authorization is required
Declaration made by the father, the doctor, the midwife, or the witnesses

Presentation of details (date, place, name)
ID card of the father or mother
Or family record book / birth certificate of one of the children
Or birth certificate issued by a foreign civil status officer (for births abroad)

Remarks

Remark 1:
The purpose of presenting the documents is to avoid errors and ensure the exact correspondence of family names among members of the same family.

Remark 2:
The agent responsible for registering the newborn must clearly read the registration data to verify their accuracy.

Remark 3:
The declarant must sign two copies of the birth declaration register.
